In 2018, Varkey Albin and former Michigan Baseball player Ali Husain launched OrdrAI, a voice and text ordering solution. OrdrAI was later acquired by a leading tech firm.

In 2024, after selling OrdrAI, Ali and Varkey launched MaizeLab, a startup incubator with the goal of helping students, athletes and alumni chase their dreams of launching a startup.
